I’ve came across a pair of 2006 civic ex front seats and I’m trying to figure out how to put them into my 2001 DX. They both have side airbags, but different plug to types. Does anyone have wiring diagrams or is there a way to rig the wiring to make them compatible with each other.

Don't plug in the air bags, the car isn't capable of deploying them. Just swap your buckles and pretensioners over to the new seats that should keep everything happy

I know this might be more work than it’s worth, can I swap the internal wiring and bag from the 01 DX seats to the 06 EX seats?

I would imagine so. I know the si seats are the same style as the ex. But I’ve only messed with 06 so couldn’t tell ya for sure on the other years

Your 01 has side bags? Both of my 05s did not.
That complicates things, you'll have to see if you can swap plugs and make them work, otherwise the air bag light will be on.

Come to think of it, my 02 ex didn't, either. It had seatbelt sensors, but that was it.

That’s the thing, the wiring colors don’t match

The colours don't have to match as long as the wire is going to the right part of the circuit. The more important thing is making sure that the air bags deploys correctly
