Front grill. Civic Sedan 2005

Hi, new civic owner and was wondering could anyone answer this question for me. I want to replace the grill on the sedan and want to know would a grill from a hatchback model the same year be compatible with my sedan? Thanks!

I’m pretty sure it’ll work. Some of the mounting points may be slightly different but the dimensions look to be the same.

Re: Front grill. Civic Sedan 2005

/facepalm It's been a long day... Personally I don't think it fits after staring at body kits for a few months. Also, I haven't seen too many hatchbacks on salvage sites. I'm fine with the generic Spec-D grille (just wish it didn't have dorky looking fins at the bottom). I might be able to sand those off though. Thanks!

I looked at both LX and EX and they look exactly the same. Is it only 01-03s that have the smoothed out bottom over the front bumper?

Re: Front grill. Civic Sedan 2005

If you look at the bottom photo, you'll see the goofy looking diffuser style "bullet" fins. Those are hideous.

Type R STYLE grille (fleabay special)

Re: Front grill. Civic Sedan 2005

Do any non-ricer grilles without the bumps have a shaved emblem? Would I be better off just drilling and wiring in some mesh?

Well , a shaved emblem without the retarded bumps makes me happy. So I guess I have my answer (go full race car fabrication route).
