Re: big line at car hex sizes and tricks
a/c compressor has a big line and a small line
what is the trick or tool to get the big line loose at the car end and what size are the MM wrenches or other tools used
as honda as they want to do stuck the connection where it is hard to reach up on the firewall under a lip

Re: big line at car hex sizes and tricks
They're just 10 mm bolts at the compressor, are they not? You only add oil when something is replaced, and you add a specific amount based on what was replaced. There should be a label somewhere under the hood that tells you how much R134a.
Re: big line at car hex sizes and tricks
the big line broke and spewed out the 134+oil I suspect bad motor mounts allowed too much movement ripped the rubber on a speed bump
Re: big line at car hex sizes and tricks
a do not have a 2X MM open end or crow
soft alloy so do not want to use a big adjustable on the outer nut/hex
the other bigger fixed nut/hex is too tight back in there to fit the adj back under the lip

Re: big line at car hex sizes and tricks
The plastic cowl tray can be removed. I have used a crescent wrench on similar connections for other Civics without issue. I can't imagine yours being much different but I have never tried on this specific model.
