Base map
Base map
I'm about to boost my car, I'll be running Neptune on a demon V2 chip and socket, idk what to do about the base tune and I'd rather not spend money, but I obviously want to do it right. I'll be running around 10 pounds with a T3 turbo. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Base map
tbh, with regards to tuning a car, it'll make or break your setup. Save up the cash and do it right with a dyno tune

Re: Base map
okay cool thank you. I am gonna get it turned but Im just looking for something so I can at least drive it over there. I don't have the money for a trailer or anything. Or should I just disconnect the piping and just basically have a long cold air intake? Also I'm sure this is obviously but I've never boosted a car before and never had to deal with tuning, so I apologise if any of these questions are just common sense.
Safest thing shy of towing it to the shop would be to have basically everything in place, but hooked up for N/A only. let the turbo compressor outlet basically dump to atmosphere. Depending on how your piping is set up, you might be able to slap a filter on some of the throttle body inlet piping and use that as an SRI in the meantime. In a sense, keep the turbo out of the intake stream. Alternatively, and a bit more unsafe because of unforeseen circumstances, if you can't do that, drive around and stay tf out of boost. Eye the hell out of the boost gauge and stay in the vacuum side as much as humanly possible.

Nah, you're good man. it'd be a different story if you had the attitude of "f- you guys, there's gotta be a base map somewhere that I can use.." Trust me, we've seen it before. We're here to help you out, my dude.
