B16a SiR 2 vs B18C1 GSR

What’s up guys I have a dilemma and I love my car so it’s on my mind all the time.
I own a 93 civic ex with a d16z6 and I’ve been driving it for about a year now (DD). It already has a full exhaust, bbs wheels, coil overs, strut bar kit, quick release. It’s still relatively fun but I know I’m not going anywhere when I floor it. I’m in SoCal (LongBeach) so there’s jdm enthusiasts everywhere and I turn down races every other week cuzz I know I’ll get mopped.
Now, i want to swap and my shop says he can get me a jdm b16a SiR 2 from a 94 eg full swap installed for $2400.
For a B18C1 gsr, I can get a full swap installed for $3300.
I pretty much know the specs and mods because I’ve used this whole year to look it up and dream about it haha. I want my setup to be as reliable as possible. Is the extra grand really worth 10-12 more tq? I was thinking about doing the b16a and using that extra grand to upgrade the rest of my car because it’s only getting older as well as Bolt ons, renewing my registration and things like that. And I’m a college kid not even in my 20s yet. Some good input would be very much appreciated.

It’s at least 4000 for sure. Probably closer to 4500-5k

If your future goals are boosted goals, then the b18s extra displacement would generate more power and torque, over he b16... might be worth looking into.

But I'm no B series expert.
