R134a refill question
R134a refill question
My 2005 Civic LX sedan refilled it up to 45psi at 85 degrees Fahrenheit outside temp. The air conditioner seemed to freeze over in 85-90 degree Fahrenheit today when headed towards downtown Baltimore. After thinking I should thaw it out I only used the fan for 15-20 minutes not the ac and tried it and it started cooling again.. was it not enough coolant and it froze up? 45 psi @85 degrees Fahrenheit is the lowest the refill chart recommends. Should I put more refrigerant in it? If so how much? Any suggestions?

Re: R134a refill question
It's freezing up because its too low. Psi needs to be the same as ambient temp. So 85 psi. Need a set of manifold gauges to do this properly. Or pay a shop
