Wrong struts???

Hey guys was wondering if anyone could tell me what factory ride height is on a 96 EX. Not sure if someone has replaced the struts on this car with the wrong struts or what but the ride is harsh, actually rides worse then my 4x4 with 8 ply tires. I have 17s on the car with 40 series tires, theres about a 4-5 inch tire to fender gap which compared to a stock ex I seen the other day was way to much. Anyone have any clue as to how to check if the struts r the correct factor struts?

Re: Wrong struts???

The 17s are probably your biggest problem, could also have crappy replacement struts

Re: Wrong struts???

I plan on dropping down to 16s maybe 15s when I find a set I like, I put a set of 13 areo racing wheels on it for a test drive and it rode a little better but was still harsh.

Re: Wrong struts???

17's are not helping but it is a Civic. They all ride a little "harsh" in my opinion. The struts could be aftermarket and have a stiffer spring rate then stock.
