A little bit of background, i bought this shitbox off of marketplace. It was ****ing gross thought it would be a cool project, but all it did was **** off the wife because of how long its been sitting. I've finally got around to ****ing with it. The previous owner removed the original stock intake box, and replaced it with that 200HP autozone cold air intake. AC compressor and power steering removed as well for all the extra horsepower. It sat with that guy for a long *** time he said like a year, he said the starter was bad and the alternator was bad. Changed both ran it with the old gas (stupid idea) to the gas station to get new gas and octane booster to just flush out the bad gas with good. It kinda worked, then the car on the same day acted hella weird after having hesitation while accelerating but still getting there; it just started stalling whenever at a stop with the brakes applied. I'm at a stump. Did a compression test and all 4 cylinders were good. Oil could use changing but waiting to see if the motor is salvageable. Most signs point me towards distributor timing which i havent got around to messing with just yet.


I’ve changed—>
Fuel pump
Fuel pump relay/ “main relay”
Injectors (all)
Spark plugs (all)
Starter
Alternator
Idle air control valve


Issue—> When the car is in park, it will have surging idle. When the car is put in drive the surging idle is gone, but when brakes are applied the engine stalls (it’s an automatic). When I was able to drive the car before the stalling got really bad, it would have hesitation while accelerating.

Iac is sticking, should've started there first instead of replacing all of those parts.

With an aftermarket one? Hondas dont like aftermarket electronics
