Swamped in swap

I swapped aB20 from a 00 crv into a 97 civic. I got fuel, spark and it cranks but wont turn on. Please help!

Try starting with gas pedal to floor. If that doesn't work try it again using starter spray.

Timing belt was loose Temple tooth I replace timing belt and water pump now aligned my timing marks in the front but my distributor does not align with spark plug number one it points to number 2

study firing order and correct plug wire positions on the dist cap

Two cams on mark with crank yet my distributor is on #2!😳 I will post pics later on today. Its 100 degrees outside my house.

was there an immobilizer for the 2000 CRVs? Genuinely curious, bc that would cause a lack of start

edit: that is, of course, assuming you went with the matching ECU

Not that im aware of. I do have an ecu for the b20 from a 00 crv. My timing belt was loose. I replaced it with water pump. My timing marks align in front but dist is on #2. Maybe cam spun while belt was loose. Do i simply spin cam till dist. & timing mark align?
