98 LX High Idle with p0122 code
Hi All,
New here as well to owning a car. I was gifted a 98 Civic LX from family with new breaks, break cables, and ac. However, it idles around 2k to 2.5k and my obd2 reader has code p0122 Throttle Position Sensor ‘A’ circuit low voltage. We bought a new sensor and checked that the wires were completing a circuit with a light and probe (sorry I don’t know technical terms yet). The code is still present but when the MAP sensor was unplugged idle went down to just over 1k or if the throttle cable is pulled off the pulley to artificially lengthen the cable it will idle around 1.5k. I could really use some guidance on my first car.
