2000 DX. Won’t crank. Horn blows when turning key.
Hello All,
Have a 2000 Civic DX. All manual locks and windows. No aftermarket alarm system. Original radio. Recently had some exhaust repairs done at a local shop so welding was done.. Also had the hood release cable and all belts replaced. After picking up my car I experienced the above referenced conditions. When I try to start it, the engine does not crank and the horn blows instead. I have power to everything else that I can see and hear. The battery is less than a year old. I’ve never had any electrical issues with this vehicle in the past. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Apologies for however that obviously inconvenienced your day on the internet. Thanks for the advice. Not sure the punctuation was necessary but understood. Might you have any advice on the actual issue?

Wonder if something got fried when they were welding.
No accident damage?

Did you ask them what went wrong and why you can't even start it now?
You drove the car to the shop, you probably shouldn't have to call a tow truck to take it home.
