here the story i bought a 96 civic hatch dx it came with a ls non vtec swap. but the guy that owned it chopped up the obd2a harness. so i only found 1 junkyard here that have a super nice harness that was already out of a civic as of right now i know that harness is for a y8 (what year or model i cant tell).
the harness i bought has b,c,d unlike my stock jacked up harness it's which is a,c,d when a say jack i honestly mean it. need help badly. i couldn't find other harness' that weren't as bad. the reason i want the y8 harness is i'm currently building 2 motors b16a2 and poorman's type r. i'm undecided which route to go. and with current motor in car which is b18b1 but it wont idle by itself and i assume cause all the plugs that are missing. any info will be much appreciate. i just need more guidance. wiring im not affraid of.
This thread has a link to download the factory service manual, it has all the wiring diagrams.
Beyond finding a proper harness I can't suggest anything else. I hope you didn't pay much for this car
hate to say it but for what it was i overpaid. 5 days ago i totaled my 2000 civic dx hatch that was mint compared to this pile. i love honda's but i've never seen a harness this hacked up. at least i broke even with full coverage insurance.
