I just bought an 05 Civic LX today to use as a beater car (I don’t want to put too many miles on my si im making payments for) and the 05 has 325 thousand kilometres on it. There wasn’t a single problem with the car when I bought it today so I said screw it, I’ve never done a burnout in the si, may as well have a little fun in this beater. And after the small burnout it began to make a squealing noise while in gear, getting louder as the rpms go up. The sound comes and goes as well. Any idea what this could be? It might be obvious but this will be the first car I actually work on a lot, still learning.

Check the accessory belts, sounds like one or both are loose.
