How do I set up my phone to play music in my 2008 civic?
Hello, I don’t know how to play music from my phone in my civic and if someone could give me step by step instructions on how to do so I would be very grateful

Should be a factory aux jack by the cigarette lighter adapter. Might pose a problem if a) it's broken (common issue) or b) you have an iPhone without the 3.5mm dongle. Just have to plug in a 3.5mm jack, change the input to aux, and you're good to go.
alternatively, aftermarket head unit with bluetooth. I got my friend a pioneer dmh-1500nex for christmas and installed it in her 2008. It has BT capability, as well as wired apple carplay/android auto and she absolutely loves it. It was like $300 at best buy. I didn't buy the adapter for steering wheel controls, so she has zero use of her steering wheel radio control buttons, but she said she never used those anyway. Also left the parking brake stuff looped off since she's not gonna be doing any video playing
