SRS light questions
Ok. I installed my car stereo and forgot to remove the neg terminal of the battery before pulling the seats. 🙄. My SRS light is now on. I have read the how to reset it using a jumper post. I just want to verify a couple of things.
Is there a reason the remove the battery terminal before I start this? Since the srs light is already on.
I short the yellow plug not the socket correct?
My passenger seat airbag light turns on when I start the car but then turns off. Doesn’t matter if anyone is sitting in the passenger seat. Is this because the of the srs light being on.
I plan on on pulling both seats this weekend and making sure everything is plugged it properly. Gonna pull the dash again to verify all plugs are plugged in too.
After I do all this I’m planning on trying the reset.
Anything else I should look at before the reset?
Car is a 2011 civic lx sedan
thanks for any help

Re: SRS light questions
Well. I checked the codes using the jumper method and both driver and passenger tensioners were the problem. Cleaned them up they were covered in grit and hair. Put everything back together. Srs light is off 🙌🙌
