Radio Back light on

Along with everything else on my car now I am having an issue with the factory cd. When I turn off the car at night the backlight for the cd playes (when the lights are on) stays on. Its only on the cd player nothing else. This has happened twice to me and it stays on for a day or two and then goes off like normal. I havnt been able to take it into honda with the problem. I am running a system in my car with the high level inputs into my amp but this shouldnt have anything to do with the back lighting. Anyone else noticed this, or have any ideas? Im not too worried about the battery draw but more the attention of it lit up in my car.

check with your connections. Use a meter to test your wires (especially your amp) if there is current running after you turn off the car. Your problem might be your amp carrying an extra load after the car has been turned off.

That was one of the things I thought and I double checked it. I am not running a cap and there isnt any residual signal on the amp. The head unit is still factory so it shouldnt be affected because the only wires I have from the amp that tough the head unit is the high level inputs on my amp. Anyone have any other thoughts?

return to stock and see if the connection to your amp has really affected the radio.
