I have a 2002 si coupe. it has 45,000km on it. Whenever i leave the car after i've driven it on the highway i can hear the engine making ticking noises somewhere where the fumes leaves the engine. Is this normal?

Yes, the ticking is normal. I asked the same question 2 years ago, and many people have said this including Honda.

I think it is just the metal contracting as it begins to cool off. I am thinking the exhaust but not sure.
