So I just rolled over 40 K and have yet to take my car in for any work. The only time my car has been looked at by a mechanic is when I was rearended at about 27K. My maintenance light has just come on. Any suggestions on what needs to be done on my car? Anything I should be looking for? Is it a waste of money to take it into the dealer?

and yes, I am wearing a fireproof suit......

be more specific with your problem. There are millions and millions of things that can cause a problem in a car.

I dont think he's stating that there's any problems, but instead asking if its worth taking it in for a maintenance check up. I'd take a look at the maintenance schedules and see what one you fall under. Then I'd get what I would think needs to be done.
