CEl = exhaust

i got a used exhaust installed last week but never used my car until now
my check light engine comes on...whats wrong with this now

its a magnaflow exhaust i have the shop weld it for me...its start from the cat. to the rear

I don't see a reason at to your exhaust to causing your check engine light to come on. I would take it back to where you had it installed. The only thing I could think of is that they might have bumped or messed up your O2 sensor on your cat.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]

i just got back from the mechanic who installed my exhaust

like u said they dont see any reason for the CEL to light...i didnt ask them about that

I'm pretty sure it's not your exhaust.
You might wanna try resetting your ECU.
1. Disconnect the black terminal for 5-10 minutes...
2. Connect it back and turn on your car. Let it idle (do not press the gas) for 10-15 minutes.

Let us know if this does the trick...
