That statment really doesn't make sense. Do you mean to tell us that they are covered under warrenty and are asking if anybody else has had this problem? My rear ones are shot, happened around 25k miles or so. If you are indeed able to get them fixed under warrenty I think I'm gonna pay a visit to my dealer. Oh and there is a suspension fourm.

how do you really tell if they're shot or not? Mine bottoms out regularly in the front when i go over large speedbumps even at slow speeds.

took mine to the dealer on teus. and he said he won't warranty them cause i lowered my car. so i called another dealer who sells aftermarket stuff and they said no problem, bring it by and we'll fix you up.

Consumer Reports predicted that the front struts would be a problem with the 7th gen.
I haven't had it yet, but I only have 12,000 miles.

They shoulda stuck with the double wishbone.

That's a sure sign that they're shot (i.e., leaking). If you're still under warranty, get them replaced asap.

Damn, you're lucky. Usually lowering your car automatically voids any warranty on your suspension. I'm surprised this dealer is actually replacing them for free.
