OK, HERE IS MY PROBLEM!!!
Im going to go into detail a little, see if anyone can figure this out. I'll give you some scenarios first:
~When the car is in idle, I hear a rattling sound by the engine. My dads friend works on transmissions, but he hasnt been able to check it yet. But he listened to it and said it was the transmission.
~When I downshift and let the clutch go slowly, it goes from no noise to a clearly heard grinding sound. You can hear it big time when I downshift from 3rd to 2nd, and 2nd to 1st.
~When I am driving, you can overhear this sound, and at times it will go away, and come back.
~The newest thing happened today. I was driving on the highway, and the car popped out of fifth gear about 6 times, and the rest of the way home, I drove with my hand on the stick, holding it in gear.
I am hoping that it has something to do with the clutch, cause why else would the gear pop out? I am very dissapointed with this car, and I was hoping someone had some advice or any type of opinion. Its really embarrasing sometimes when I drive and you can hear this horrible sound.

First, take it easy on the caps. Second, it sounds like youre gears aren't engaging all the way. Take about the center console and check the shifter. It's probably the shift adapter. Fool around with it some so that your throws get the gear fully in gear. Hoped that helped.
