smells like gas

I put a new set of plugs in last weekend and ever since then i have noticed a gas smell....i only notice it when i am stopped at a light or when i am warming the car up.....if i didnt gap the plugs right would that cause them to not burn all the incoming fuel when the cylinder fires??....any possible causes you guys can think of are welcome

Did you use a platnium type plug and was it a NGK (PZFR6F-11) or Denzo (PKJ20CR-M11) ? Also you sholdn't have to replace the plugs for a least 110,000 miles.

check underneath the car for any plastic bags or other crap that may be caught and are burning.

I had one caught just below the engine, on a downpipe. smelled like gas too.

Yeah wow 50K on that he doesn't let his civic sit much. Mine has 12,500 miles on it and I bought it back in July of 01 hehe. Yeah you don't need new plugs till like 100K, but tell us how it comes out
