Headlight bulb only works with brights.

I have a problem, obviously. I bought hyperwhites for my 2001 Civic LX and after about 6 months with them in the driver's side went out. I originally thought it was just burnt out or maybe blew up, but I realized that it did illuminate when I turned on my brights. Anybody know why this is and how it can be fixed???

Thanks Fellas
Joel

Since the headlight bulbs are dual filament, the filament for the low beam probably broke. Just replace the bulb.

My driver's side light bulb did that same thing. I didn't work for a couple of days........then it worked fine for 2 months.......and just yesterday it stopped working again on the low beam.

I guess the low beam was still making the connection for a while until I hit a bump or somethig. wierd.
