weird smell

hey guys...i haven't posted much here before cause my questions have always been answered! thanks! you guys kickass. anyway, on to my problem.
i haev a 2001 civic ex with about 21500 miles on it. i got it from the dealer at about 19500 and i just went in for an oil change just the other day. now, ever since i've had the car it's been running (and smelling...heh) great. but now after i went to the oil place(jiffy lube) i have this really strange smell inside my car. it's like a combination of burning glue and oil. i only notice the smell once the car warms up so that just backs up my thinking that something is burning. now, when i was at the jiffy lube, the guy said that my car takes a 5w20 oil, is this right?? i haven't had time to check what the car manual says but that just seems really odd. you guys have any ideas?
help!!!
thanks....jon

The idiots at jiffy lube probably spilt oil on the exhaust manifold or on the engine in general. Used to do to me everytime. I swear they did it on purpose. I am thinking this is the problem and it will burn off in a few days.

Yes, 5w-20 is what the manual (honda) says to use.

Yeah, I run into that when you take off the oil filter...it is like impossible to not spill any oil on the exhaust pipes...

No, I wouldn't think so. If it last more than 3-5 days you may want to take it. I am almost certain it's oil if the smell started when you had the oil changed. Bastards at jack off lube. I have mine changed at honda for like 21 and change w/tax and they don't leave me with stink-bomb smelling car.

mine too, it just started to smell yesterday... it's bad, really bad, you can smell the thing from a car length away.

it's not from oil change, that's for sure.

it's worse from the outside, and can still smell from the interior.... help?

never mind, it was just a plastic bag caught under the front of the car.... it will burn off eventually.
