ak can only hope to improve
K&N air filter? They come pre-oiled. It's some special oil that is supposed to stop dirt from flowing thru.

If you're seeing oil dripping from your K&N then you over-oiled your filter. The oil won't harm your engine but if a tiny trace of oil manages to get in contact with the MAF sensor then it's toast. Last time I checked it's a 250 dollar part.

Take your filter out and sling it around to get some of the extra oil out...then wipe it down around the edges before u put it back in.
