Alright, i just got my custom piping for my 02 EX (5 speed) in addition to this i have dc headers and a 5zr fireball rear section. My problem is that every now and then i hear a rattling noise like metal against metal underneath the passenger side. The exhaust itself rattles every now and then also. I don't know wether it is loose or what. n e help is appreciated:

It sounds like your mid-pipe is striking the heat shield that's under the passenger-side of the car where the exhaust pipe goes. Take it back to the shop. It might just be that the piping isn't hanging from a hanger (could be from the rear). Just take it back to the shop. I dunno about rattling... that might be within the same issue. The piping shouldn't be against the heatshield what so ever.

also check to see if your muffler tip vibrates against the rear bumper. for me, i just let my car idle and just watched the muffler tip til it started to hit the bumper

Hey thanks man...i took it back to the shop and it was hitting the bottom of the car...not the heat shield but the first bend under the passenger side...and the hooks were all there, but the vibration of the exhaust still made it hit the bottom part so my mechanic just bolted another support to the car...seems ok now. thanks again...btw wat kinda car u got?

glad i read this, I have the exact same noise on mine with the dc tcs, i moved the heatshield and that wasn't it, only happens in the rain though, now i can fix it[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
