Hooray for Honda...

So let me understand this....You're happy about the fact that three of your struts were blown at such a low mileage and that HONDA fixed them under warranty-which is what they're required to do and what you paid for? I wouldn't be loving HONDA for this. I had mine done as well. Both my fronts were blown, it's a very common and I find disheartening problem. One of many on the 7th gen CIVIC. I would never buy a CIVIC again, they are building them horribly.

I had 3 blown shocks..and they gave me 4 new one's.... For honda..that's something to give them thumbs up for..
I've allready had my car repainted due to rust..and a few other warranty problems...which I had alot of trouble from Honda with..and now this.. (my shocks were no yet noticably affected) they had a look around the car and told me they were blown...normally you have to go to Honda..complain and argue for them to fix things.. they found the problem onn their own..fixed it and gave me a new strut that wasn;t blown.. now I have the 2003 Si(ex) spec shocks..

they have to give you four new ones....you can't change only one side of the shock because you will get and uneven ride hight....when one front shock goes you have to replace both fronts....the same with the rears.
if your blown struts didn't affect performance, how does one determine that you have blown struts?
i do my checkups myself, rather than go to the stealership, so what do i look for when checking my struts?
