i bought my 2001 slightly used and ever since the day i bought it....there has been front end noise.....nothing that i can feel but its real annoying. its like a click after applying the brakes. the caliper does have play between the housing but not that much and also as i am taking off after the car is warm, the clutch operates fine but i hear another click noise as the clutch is let out and the gear grabs......the noise seems to happen in low gears when i either down or up shift?
anyone have similiar noises cuz theres nothing worse than pulling up to a light in a phat civic and when you stop it sounds like your front end is falling apart[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-puke.gif[/IMG]

my brakes do that too. Honda said it's normal.

what about after takeoff.....does it make a noise as well? like a click.......seems like the noise works in conjunction with the clutch

while i was driving i applied my brakes slightly and i heard this loud groan and vibration on my foot pedal. my car is slowly dying on me[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG]

Do you hear the gears clicking in? As in, sit with the windows open and the car off. Put the clutch in and listen as you move through the pattern. That clicking sound? Or does the clutch pedal make noise. You may just have to put some oil on the pedal joint... I fixed my squeaky clutch with that...you may just have some dirt in there.

it only happens with the car actually moving and the clutch being let out with the motot starts turning the gears

The brake clicking happens to me every morning when i reach the end of my street, cause that'd be the first time i use my brakes since the night before... so it'd be the play in the pad and caliper... it only happens once a day...

mine happens frequently.....when its warmed up....i should have bought an s2000 or and rsx
