designed to knock?

after they replaced my front struts, i brought it back because of knocking sound again

nope its not the struts, its the design of the power steering with toe-link control....

this is what i heard from the senior technician of the honda dealer alongside with the service manager. they even told me that even with new units they have that knocking sound in front of the car when run into humps and dips. wow! can't believe honda engineers would miss that one if that is true.

i've noticed a lot posts related to front suspension knocking, and i'm begining to believe that this is indeed a design problem. in any case, honda should do something about it.

i have a 2k2 sedan with AT and often hear that ticking sound while driving. it is faint but always there. i dont see any leak in my car, so i have no idea if that is a rattle or a leaky strut as everyone described. this sound does not get worse on bumpy road and it tends to be louder as i driver longer. any idea?

If it's a "ticking" sound that's faint and sounds like a leak that's just the fuel pumping through the effortless system (or smthg, read it somewhere), and as the service tech told me, it's to cut cost.

I heard it in the first couple of months when I went slow, at 2k revs and such, took it to the dealer, got that comment, and now I just gun it each time. f*** fuel economy, 1.7L should run almost as little gas however I step on it anyway...

no more knocking!! when I took off the strut the top spring mount has maybe 8 tabs hanging down to keep the spring in place, 3 of those were bent down. also the piece that sits inside there (not a bearing but not sure what it is called i think it is a bushing) it actually rotates is the spring mount, was not sitting in there straight. It had rub marks that is how I know this. I dont know what caused the tabs to bend either from the piece not sitting in their straight and the spring popped out causing the tabs to bend or just from the piece not sitting in their right
