Braking-A/C PROBLEMS

When braking the petal always seems to fall. Like it is braking on its own, with no added pressure from me.

When A/C is on...and the cooling fan comes I hear a cherp sound (ever see the movie pitch black, it sounds like those aliens. no joke!).

Need help!

The brake pedal "falling" could be a couple of things, it could be the power brake vacuum booster losing a bit of vacuum pressure, this is not uncommon but not a real problem unless it happens all the time. Or it could be the rear brake shoes shifting forward in the drum, this is also not uncommon. If the brake pedal does this all the time, and the brakes don't seem to stop properly, you have a problem, but if it only happens once in a while, I wouldn't worry about it. Next time you take the car in for service have the Tech look at it just to be safe.

As far as the A/C goes, are you talking about the condenser fan or the interior vent fan?

ak can only hope to improve
I think it's normal. I have driven a 98 Camry, 01 Civic, & my 02 Civic and they all do the same with the braking pedal. Maybe that's why it's called Power Brakes?

It is the condeser fan that makes the sound. It makes a loud cherping noise (like the monsters in Pitch Black, seriously).

Take it in to the dealer, the noise isn't normal, it could be that the fan is hitting the shroud when it starts up. Have it checked by the dealer ASAP.
