Engine - Uneven power when cold ( lurching)

My car does this weird thing when it is cold. If I hold the throttle steady, I can feel the car acting like I am accelerating and decelerating slightly. You can feel the car jerking very slightly. It kinda feels the way it does when the A/C comes on, but my A/C is off. Anyone else have this problem? I would take it to a dealer, but I dont want them touching my car. I dont want any dings (Ive heard the horror stories). Im thinking that it may be the Oxygen sensor is just not up to temp which is causing the fuel mixture to vary when it is cold. I have 29,000 miles on the car and it has done this for quite awhile now.

mattskav is an unknown quantity at this point
if you are talking cold cold, then a little bit of unevenness can be expected as the sensors ajust over their temperature range and the computer is warming up the car.
