WRITE HONDA TODAY FOR RESULTS...
Hey everyone.
Just got off the phone with the owner of my brother in laws dealership(Lallier Honda). We've been talking about the strut issues with the 7th Gen and this is what he said.
He told me to write the Customer Relations people at Honda.
Apparantly they don't keep the dealers informed of much at all but are very good at listening to customers. I had mentioned the Koni inserts and how I may go this road because I've already busted 3 struts and am sick of it.
I wanted to know when I could expect a new and improved strut in the form of a recall or just straight replacement. I've had my ride since November of 2000 so what happens if my warranty expires before I get suitable struts, do I now have to pay out of pocket?!
So in conclusion write today and get answers and most of all get results.

Don't get me wrong you all can do whatever you want BUT if I were you I wouldn't waste my time they don't listen and they sure as hell don't give a damn I have tried countless times. You never know though you may get lucky.

Apparantly Honda may have a fix in place for this issue. The problem is they only deal with customers. I was told that people who write often get the answers they want, you never know unless you try it. I think that enough of us write in about this that we will get answers. They put the Macpherson Strut in the new SiR as well! I'm curious to find out whether or not it's the same strut or a new re-engineered one.

IamFOB:Tell them about the fact that an aftermarket fix will cost you over a grand and you want to know if they have a new strut designed for the car or at least a fix for the current one.
