My 2001 Civic which I purchased new let me down the other day for the very first time. We have traveled almost 296,000 miles together so I cant really complain. My engine is shot.. My question is .. does anybody know where I can buy a japanese used engine.. has anybody ever done this? Was it worth it.. I love my car, would love to get it back on the road. I have meticulously maintained it, still looks good. Just put 4 new Michelins on it 2 weeks ago.. Appreciate any thoughts or ideas.. I'm in N CA... Jim

Time to let 'er go and get something newer IMO. 16 years and 300K miles...
