2004 civic timing belt
I just bought 2004 Honda civic with 122k miles on it. The guy told me that the battery was bad and that i should check the timing belt because the guy he was selling the car for didnt change it. i paid 2600 for the car. i understand that the timing belt will cost more out of pocket but did i good a deal or no?

If you have any mechanical know-how, it'll cost you like... $100 and a bit of your day (6 hours start to finish my first time. 3 hours at my fastest)
Other than that, 2600 for a fairly low mileage 7thgen? not too bad

I got mine for 2100 with 120k and a fresh timing belt in very clean condition about 3 years ago. I considered that to be a great deal at the time. I see them selling for more than you paid though so I don't think you got a bad deal necessarily.
Get that timing belt changed for 100-150 bucks and keep your cooling system in good condition and you'll have a reliable car for years to come. 2600 is a small price to pay for that
