Trunk won't close

Hello everyone, I have a 2005 civic and the trunk won't close. I got this problem after attaching a small trolley on the striker to move a furniture. The trunk was open during the trip and it hit the furniture a few times when driving over potholes. I have tried adjusting the striker position but that didn't solve the problem. I think the problem is either with the latch or with the hinges that hold the trunk door. One thing I've noticed is that the latch trigger doesn't hit the striker, it goes over it:

the latch mecanism works fine when I manually trigger it using a small screwdriver.

Here are some pictures I took: http://imgur.com/a/J9vIc

Thank you very much.

If you can't tell what got bent here (trunklid, hinge, or mounting point), take it to a bodyshop and have them figure it out for you.
