04 Civic Overheats
04 Civic Overheats
Good afternoon gentlemen, my car is overheating, and I don't know why.
Here are the symptoms;
The car overheats with city driving, not highway driving.
If It's overheating, I'll open the radiator cap and it's under a ton of pressure, coolant goes everywhere, the reservoir is usually full. I'll add some coolant and the overheating is resolved for a day or 2.
If I can't stop to let the pressure off and add coolant I'll turn the heat on, that brings the temps down for a while, turning the AC on does as well.
Sometimes It will start to overheat and then stop overheating on it's own.
I've replaced the radiator cap and the thermostat, bot with genuine Honda parts.
What could be the problem? And what would be the fix?
