ac help
ok took my 01 coupe to the dealer yesterday, because the ac isnt working, its blowing hot air, well everything works when the tech uses the honda computer to control everything. they said the the control unit might be bad. the ac button and recirc button lights up as its on but no compressor and it just blows hot air. has anyone had this issue, the srs and brake light is on. and after i left the dealer the check engine light is on but its off now. ppppplease help a brother out/

Re: ac help
So.... I'd reason the HVAC controller is keeping those lights on, for whatever reason.
Does that mean it's bad? Maybe.

Re: ac help
thanks to everyone and the posts on here, the honda tech couldnt find the problem and through these forums i found the problem mcu!!! and i changed the fuse box and all my issues were fixed, no door locks, no intermiting wipers all my chimes, ac, brake light, and yes i went to the dealer and got it, no headaches with wrong part, ie 4door to 2 door and whatever, and got a 1 year warranty.

Re: ac help

Ya know, if you had mentioned you had issues with all these other systems along with the AC problem, I could have gone right to the MICU.
Except the MICU shouldn't have anything to do with the lights on the AC/recirc/def switches. That's probably in the HVAC controller.
