Hi,
I am not a expert with cars or parts but if someone can kindly figure out what the problem could be that will be very much appreciated.

I just bought a 04 plate honda civic executive 1.6 manual car. Everytime i press the brakes and release it i hear a clicking noise from the gear box. It hard to explain..its like a loose marble hitting another marble and it only happens with i press the brakes and release it while driving and its ok when im idle. i dont hear any noise when changing gears or squeeking noise ...just a marble noise hitting another marble.

I hope i tried to explaining it well but thats the best i can describe it.

I hope someone can let me know.

Edit: Are you saying that wear you shift your gears is making a clicking noise? I'm not familiar with manual shifters in these vehicles, but it maybe an interlock like the automatics have when you need to shift out of park. You can hear and feel a subtle click from the shifter when you press the brake to shift.
I'll default to someone with more knowledge on manual shifting/transmissions.

hi,

no its not when i change gears. its like when ever you move the car forward or apply pressure to stop the car in this case with the brakes i hear this click within the gears. i dont think its anything to do with the brakes either. and when your moving and changing gears its fine.
