2001 Civic EX Coupe Trans Issue

I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX Coupe. Without any warning while Driving my Transmission went out. My engine was revving and I had to pull over. I shut my car off and then It went back in gear and started driving again after a little bit went out again. This is all that happens. Does anyone know what this might be? Thanks in Advance!
