This 01 Civic LX was a gift to my daughter as her first car. It is in fine condition except that intermittently, yet on a daily basis, the drive indicator lights on the dash flicker, the speedometer and tachometer drop to 0 and fuel and temperature gauges become inactive, as does the odometer. Apart from the obvious lack of crucial information normally provided by the instruments, the car's performance is otherwise unaffected
Has anyone experienced this issue? - and, most importantly, found a solution?

You may have a bad instrument cluster.
