Super noob here looking to put on front energy suspension bushings. Would like to remove the UCA and take it to the shop to save some money.

Everything looks pretty straight forward to me except for the separating it from the balljoint part. That part kind of scares me.

I know I can rent the press tool from autozone but none of the DIYs I've seen have been super noob friendly on how to do this part (I assume because it's a basic part of automotive knowledge so no one sees the need to go into it).

Can anyone point me toward where I can see some step by step photos or maybe a video on how to do this part so I can feel more comfortable about it?

Also, how to you re-install it?

Follow the link in my sig at find Blue_Em2s ball joint DIY, it has instructions on how to separate it from the LCA.

You re-install by inserting the shaft back into the control arm and tightening the bolt.
