Eld problem

I have a 2002 Honda civic sir and i have the code for my eld sensor voltage high
but recently my radio and cluster have been dying for a split second and coming back also once my car almost stalled i was wondering if these 2 things are connected

Are you blowing any fuses?

Could be the voltage regulator on the alternator going bad. The voltage could be fluctuating...going too low then too high.

You will need a new alternator to fix it if this is the problem. If it's the original 10 years is a typical lifespan.

did you try replacing the eld in the fuse box? they sell just the eld by itself.

Part # 38255-S5A-003. Ask for that part specifically, otherwise they're try to sell ya the whole fusebox @ $250.

i checked mine today and it looked pretty burnt. i wonder if they have a certain lifespan but i guess the engine light would come on if it stops working.

Man, almost forgot. Make sure you put the plug for the ELD back in the right spot as there are 2 spots it can go into. Been there, done that. Spent $28 needlessly, now the extra one just sits in the closet till this one goes bad.

Wat does the eld do...im havn a problem wer my orange lights i.terior and brake lights do not turn on with my headlight switch...but wen i hit my pedal or turn signal they work...any ideas? I noticed this happend after i installd my sidemarkers..possibly bad wirei.g job? Shoot some help
