01 civic ex

hey guys I have a 01 civic ex and the power door locks,ac and interior light all stopped working at the same time. I have checked all the fuses and relays and all of them were good so any help would be thankfull

Download the service manual and diagnose for a bad MCU (Multiplex Control Unit). It's built in to the under-dash fuse/relay box.

It is definetly the MCU - I just changed mine today in an 01 civic LX - Part number 38200-S5A-A31 - you can get it at honda parts now or Honda parts cheap for about 155 + shipping. I bought one a G1` parts online for 155 (2 day shipping) but they are now out of stock. I glad I found the web site and my (wifes) but really my - Problem was solved.

Hey, does anyone know why the MCU would go bad? Is it that the car is 10 years old? Do you think it would go bad again? THis seems to be a fairly common issues with 01-02 civics? Just wondering - and hoping it is not a short of some type!
