wipers not parking at regular spot

so the wipers work, when i turn the switch on, and it goes up and down fine, but why does it park half way of the windshield?

is the motor broken?

What do you mean by park half way up the windshield? All it might need is a little adjustment but maybe a little more detail on this park issue may help.

If you mean you're turning off the car while they're wiping, and once the car is off they just stop on the middle of the windshield and not finish their last wipe then it's normal. Turn the wipers off then the car off

Re: wipers not parking at regular spot

I might take the wiper motor out, take the cover off the end and see if the park contact strips have worn out or fell out. Plan on replacing the motor?

Remove fasteners, remove motor.
You may want to get a service manual.

If the park position contacts inside the motor assembly aren't damaged, then regular electrical testing should ensue as per the service manual.
