2001 Honda Civic new Window Regulator dont work just really hot?
I got a new window regulator for a 2001 Honda Civc LX and put it today and when I tried it the window went up and thats it. It wont go down at all the the motor is relly hot. I dont know where to go next. Help please Thanks

the motors do get hot with use, that is normal. not sure why it would stop working tho. did you wait til it cooled down and try again? did the window roll up normally the first time? if it was going up really slow, you prolly burnt the motor out due to the window not being in the proper alignment.

It went up normal and that was it I did wait for it to cool but no luck. When you hit the swicth you can hear the motor click.

it sounds to me like the switch is bad but check the fuses and relays. to test the motor take the door panel off and unplug the motor now get two wires and run power to the motor from your car battery for up or down just switch the wires around if that works then motor is good.
