im done nd need help asap
ive had this problem for almost a year and just want it away. my 02 civic lx runs rough as **** at idle BUT my rpms remain steady. it almost feels like i need new motor mounts but they all were just replaced.mind you it is VERY rough the whole car rattles and i can hear the deep vib sound. the problem suddenly happend one day while driving like normal.the car just got reall rough.
idk if it is possible that my fuel system can possibly be that dirty being that i use the injection cleaner. is it possible my fuel filter is so dirty that the cleaner just isnt working or maybe my timming is off slightly. would that cause anything like that.
well please anybody give me your input even if you not 100% sure just so i can cross it off the list.

if you car drives fine, then you can rule out fuel system. it uses the least gas at idle. did you do the usual cleaning of the idle valve? also check the mounts, the front one you should be able to feel if one or more legs are torn.

no because im not sure which one that is can you post a pic so i no(idle valve). and maybe the vacuum hoses can be damage.

ok i cleaned the throttle body,iacv,intake and the pcv valve and it dident change anything. maybe my fuel rails? or maybe inside my intake manifold is cloged somewhere? and as for my vacuum lines are they supposed to be filled with anything because i noticed a tag that said ''EVAP SERVICE PORT. 1PSI MAX.REGULATED PRESSURE ONLY" but when I took off the lines no air or anything came out.

I can't believe it's running that bad without throwing a code. Take it down to Autozone and have them scan it for codes (it's free). Post back any codes. Just because the MIL isn't on doesn't mean it doesn't have a code.

i have my own obd umm i did get three codes the other day.p0113(intake air temp circuit high temp) p0128(coolent temp below thermostate)p1457(manu specific dtc) but they just poped up recently and i have had the prob for a while. im not 100% sure wht all those mean but i do have a small crack in my exh mani so i figured that was p1457 and the other 2 idk WTF.

Does it have live data stream?

For P0128 the service manual says to diagnose P0113 first. P0113 (IAT) can make your car run rough like that.
To test the IAT:
1. With the key ON, engine off does the IAT read 5V?
YES- step 2
NO- Check for bad wires and loose connections at the IAT sensor and ECM/PCM.
2. Turn ign to OFF
3. Disconnect IAT sensor and jump the 2 terminals on the wire side of the connector with a jumper wire.
4. Turn ign to ON
Still getting 5V?
YES- step 5
NO- replace the sensor.
If you need to go further just tell me.

With all these codes it could be a bad ECM/PCM but not likely at this point. All those ground at G101 ( runs from the engine to the radiator support) so, check to make sure that ground is good also.

well even with the codes i dont think they are telling me whts wrong with my prob idk.maybe a computer prob too and its not picking up the readings. its weird because once in awhile the car will completely stop vibing and run like brand new.sometimes i think the car is not even on thats how smooth it gets.

If its used right its fine it is safe. IF you had full out ether and used it wrong possibly. Commercial starting fluid is a pretty low percentage of ether. Ours is 80%. I am a John Deere mechanic. You can break rings and such with ether on some diesels, but they are twice the compression of our engines. Ether doesn't compress like O2 does....

thanks and what about the fuel rails is it ok to run the car with them unplugged or will that damage anything.(computer,rings,etc). if i unplug them will i have to do anything to have the car run back to normal( restart anything)
