Please give me a hand with top strut mount...

To make a long story short, I'm replacing the top strut mount on my 2002 Civic EX, everything stock. I put a new strut in, and didn't replace the mount, and now am having to put a mount in. I ordered the mount and got in it and took everything apart.

The original mount has bearings in it, but the new replacement doesn't...

What gives? Will the new one work?
