Scratched Bumper Lip Help! - Where can I buy a new one?
Hey everyone,
I've been detailing my car alot for the past couple of weeks, it's come to the point where it's squeaky clean. Which is great!
Just the other day at the stop light another driver praised my car lol.
However, going through a 360 Degree check. I notice that my front bumpers lip is very scratched thanks to the previous owner of the car!
It's not noticeable unless you kneel or bend over to look underneath, but my god is it ever so rough and scratched! I guess when he used to exit parking lots he would strike the ground or hit the parking curb.
On the right side it has a small hole, again, only noticeable if you look underneath but wow does it ever bother me.
Even the rubber deflector underneath is missing some teeth to grab on to the front bumper and I have a loose black plastic engine cover fitting that wont hold itself up.
I've been thinking of sanding down the rough edges to make it look smooth if possible or just buy a completely new OEM lip along with installation.
Although these days I wonder if Honda dealerships still support the EM2?
If not where could I buy a new OEM lip? I can't seem to find the exact same one on Ebay or Google.
My car is just about 7 years old, but it's so clean it looks like I recently bought it off the lot! With exception to the lips scratches.

Okay, that makes more sense.
If the bumper is the issue then you could probably get it repainted for $250-300, but I don't know of anyone who offers good quality painted replacement parts.
Are you referring to the flimsy plastic air dam held underneath the front bumper by a few little plastic clips, when you say something is falling off? Those things always rip off, it's not a big deal or even driver abuse, I think I lost mine in 06 and it drove me crazy for a few weeks till I stopped caring.
Dealerships do still offer replacement parts for the EM2, our poor cars aren't that old, but some Honda Factory performance accessories are getting hard to find since production of those has ended.

you wanna buy a whole new front bumper for a hole that you have to search for? I'd say get that part touched up, or bondo the hole shut, or something.. a brand new bumper would cost you $172 + shipping and paint..
