HELP!! Water leaking from steering wheel

Every time it rains, water would leak from the bottom of my steering wheel and also the left side where the fuse is. I called Speedy Auto Glass and they told me that it does not sound like a leak from the windshield bu might be the body seam. i checked under the hood and did not see anything abnormal.
Does anyone know where the water would be coming from instead??

do you have a moonroof? there are drain tubes and they lead down by the driver and passenger floors. if they fell out or are clogged, you can easily flood the floor and not see where the water is coming from.

Re: HELP!! Water leaking from steering wheel

best way to check is with a hose or car wash. start spraying certain parts of the car and see what happens. its better if youre inside looking and someone else is spraying. its possible water is running down the steering shaft from the bottom of the window seal/plastic molding.

heater core? Check anti-freeze level.

U keep saying u don't know where it's coming from. That much is obvious, so u have to do some investigating. No magicians here.

Ez things to do: clean out the door drains, hose one portion at a time as suggested. U may have to take out the seats and carpet to be sure. Ah... the joy of car ownership.

Re: HELP!! Water leaking from steering wheel

Thanks for the idea. I had a mechanic look at it and took the hood and looked underneath the windshield glass as well and still can find the problem. But.... when he looked underneath the steering wheel it looks like the silicone was coming off..... still trying to solve this problem
