I'm having problem with my car seeming like it's bogging down or losing power. Only seems to do this when i first start it up, then after a mile or two, it goes away.
When I first hop in and start it up, it will idle around 1000-1200, then will come down to around 700 a minute or so later. Then I'll take off in first gear, and when it hits around 3000-3500 rpm's, it seems to die a little or lag before climbing any higher. Holding the gas pedal constant, it will quickly die and surge between 3 and 3500 rpm's.
Again, this problem seems to go away around 2-3 miles down the road.
Ideas? Suggestions? Cost to fix?

Re: Bogging/Lagging
For me it was the oxygen sensor heater.
It relies on exhaust heat and has a heater for the first few mins - heater breaks, oxygen sensor screws up until it is warm enough.

Thanks for the help guys!
Cleaned the Throttle Body, replaced the o2 sensor, and while I was at it, cleaned the IAC, VTEC Noid, and EGR Valve. But it was new plugs that solved my problem. Wow they were shot! Had a hard time finding a torque wrench that went down to 13 ft lbs too. But all in all a good day, and now she runs like a champ.
Appreciate all the help again guys, and DIY's FTW!
